Wizards Excel at Senior Mets
Eight swimmers represented Bracken Ridge Swimming Club at the 2019 Vorgee Brisbane Senior Metropolitan Championships that were held at the Brisbane Aquatic Centre last weekend. The event was held over three days from 15th-17th March. It was a successful meet for our eights swimmers, who competed in a combined total of 37 swims, finishing with 23 PBs.
Danika Harvey qualified for two finals, the Women’s 100m Breaststroke and the Girls 16 Years 100m Breaststroke, placing 5th in the Women’s final and bringing home the Bronze medal in the Girls 16 Years final. She also placed 3rd overall in the Girls 15-18 200m Breaststroke.
Ebony Campbell competed in a massive program of 12 events, achieving PBs in eight of them. She qualified for two finals, Women’s 100m Backstroke and Girls 15 Years 100m Backstroke, placing 6th and 5th respectively. She also placed 3rd overall in the Girls 15-18 200m Backstroke.
Jordan Conroy qualified for three finals, the Men’s 100m Butterfly, Men’s 100m Freestyle and the Men’s 50m Freestyle, placing 5th in 100 Fly, 8th in 100 Free and and 4th in 50 Free.
